Choosing A Domain Name – Should It Be SEO Optimized?

Even though I have completed Modules 1 Day 1 thru 7 of the 30 Day Challenge, I am at a cross road, where I need to decide on the correct domain name for my business.  I never knew that choosing a domain name would be so difficult.

Choosing a domain name is not so difficult, it is only because I am having difficulty trying to choose the correct niche for me to promote.  Basically I have found three niches that meets the criteria for choosing a niche..

The Challenge criteria is to only choose a niche that has at least a Page to broad match (PBR) criteria of about 15 %, a SEOT competition value of at least 30,000 competing pages, and at least 80 visitors a day.

My three niches have passed this test, the only thing for me to do now is decide on which niche  to use for my domain name.

I have learned that the fastest way to choose a niche is to choose a niche that you know something about or a topic that you would like to learn something about.

When choosing a domain name we should always try to choose a domain name with our keyword included.  Studies have shown that a keyword rich domain name will give you the best chance on landing on the first page of Google. I always try to acquire a domain name with a dot com, dot net, or dot org, always.  When I can’t find a top level domain name with my keyword I will then try to find one with a phase match name.
